You gotta give it a rest. You do not operate in the same market and do not understand how the software algorithms are easily manipulated. Carriers are not the ones manipulating the market with BS rates, the brokers are. However, carriers can sit back and throw out high offers all day long and it will drive the numbers back up.

A broker doesn’t screw anybody. They just put it out there and the carrier screw’s themselves.

Just looking how people obey sign "Right lane closed. Merge left now" I do realize only few can read and comprehend English.

They are bad at business and think everyone should subsidize them. Instead of thinking “hey! I really need to improve myself” they say “hey! This guy is screwing me and that’s reason I’m not making it.”

Those people never improve. Why should they? There is nothing wrong with them

There is no longer a need to remove the Sulfur out of diesel, the administration is talking about using it to create rain or counter climate change or stop our VP from babbling.

I wouldn't be so sure about that one.

The guy was in panic and made bad decisions. The lack of training was the biggest culprit in that tragedy. Those escape ramps do speak for themselves.
Do really need to read a sign to know what they're there for?

I remember another fatal accident in Colorado reported on Satellite Radio, where a woman instead of taking ramp, decided to jump off the truck, luckily not killing anyone else but herself. Do you think she did, what she did because she could not read English?
I am afraid you misfired your shot.

But yet this administration is wanting to fast-track training to get more new age drivers on the road. English, no English, situational problem solving or not...call it what you want but the problem starts with these schools and/or businesses allowing "anyone" get a CDL just because they got paid. Who is vetting these schools and/or training businesses allowing someone to get their CDL if they do not meet the standards. Does the US allow anyone to graduate from HS or college? No, they don't!!

Idiot drivers come in all shapes, colors and sizes!! Again, English, no English, school..no school...you can still be an idiot driver. I've seen more "American" hazardous semi truck drivers that think they own the road, IDIOT drivers!! Trust me, NO ONE IS PERFECT and let's hope we are not put in their shoes one day.

The question "should" always goes back to who allowed them to get a CDL in the first place, because they are the ones to blame! If a person cannot read and comprehend simple road signs, that instructor should NOT allow them to get a CDL until they prove they can, period!

Siinman and Constant Learner Thank this.

Point proven!! Brokers put the lowest rate out there, and wait for a bite! Their goals is to keep as close to 50% or more of that load. That's also how the brokers earn their quarterly bonus!!

As initially stated, the rates do no match the inflation all around. Instead, they have gone down!! How is that even possible if all media outlets are telling consumers one of the reasons everyday home/living items are going up is due to the rising cost of fuel?? But yet that is not reflected on the carrier's rate. So who is keeping that money??

UItraman and Jubal Early Times Thank this.

Most are the mega fleets that have own schools in my experience seeing them. At least the smaller schools are worried about getting shut down over something like that. They will not risk it like the people that have the insurance covered because they have so much money.
