Hello Everyone. I'm just wondering if anyone or any trucker has delivered to Vallejo, CA. My trucker and I are from Vallejo, CA and this will be home for him now. Does anyone know of an authorized areas in Vallejo where truckers can park their truck and trailers without getting a parking ticket or such?
They used to have truck stops here until the new freeway was built and I can't think of any other place in town that has a truck stop. If anyone can provide us with this information it will be greatly appreciated. We're trying to keep from commuting to Sacramento (45min to an hour away). Thanks!!!

I'm not aware of any truck stops west of Sacramento on 80...As you get closer to the bay land prices/taxes skyrocket, so it's not economical to pave a dozen acres just for truck parking. Even the place I occasionally stayed in Sacramento charged for parking. Generally, I'd actually stop north of Sacramento, or over by Stockton

Thanks. I guess we can't get away from commuting to Sacramento. I just wish they never removed the truck stop here in Vallejo off of Hwy 37. Or even the one in Cordelia (10 min away). That one was huge and last I remember that truck stop was very busy. Now it's nothing but an open field. It even had one of those truck stop diners. Oh well ......... Thanks for the info.

If you're going to do this everyday a ministorage with RV parking may be an option. The peace of mind of a secure place alone would be worth it.

I live over the hill in fairfield, What I did was call city hall and asked the mayor's office, and then called the police cheif and asked.. it took about two or three weeks the got back to me of streets on which big trucks may park with out worries of tickets..at least
Being borke into or stolen nothing has happen yet...Knock on wood -
Well, it's not going to be on a daily basis. He'll be out 2 to 3 weeks at a time but still with the price of gas fluctuating it can get expensive. Ybelegal, do you still have a list of streets in Fairfield/Vacaville? Even that will be close enough than commuting to Sacramento.
Thanks again for your help, guys!!!

They're behind gates that are accessible by a "Card-key" and I have 24/7 access. There are cameras mounted everywhere as well, to include a dump station and wash rack. -
talk to the local police about a "safe harbor" lot - where hazmat loads can stay. They might let your hubby park there a few days at a time )just a thought. No idea at all if it would work(
