Norfolk Southern, have you ever just thought about just checking no on every box and not disclosing your diagnosis?

By the way checking every box no is a form of lying and once cross checked against medical records increasingly held in databases against you personally its going to cause a big problem these days. There is no point, This is not the 80's anymore.
Its more difficult in some ways to get a FAA license medically than a DOT exam still. My heart surgeon says he don't see a #### thing that would seriously interfere with me that needs his talents any time soon. Ive got some advantages with a clear set of pipes and a heart that is essentially a battleship. Just bad valve in the mitral that can be plugged if need be. -
This has been an interesting read. As someone with Epilepsy, I am very much aware that sometimes life hands you an excrement sandwich. Over the last few years, the FMCSA has placed so much responsibility on the medical examiners. They are making case by case decisions on medical drug usage etc. The FMCSA is also through the ME's forcing medical providers to give opinions on someone's fitness to drive. It's my opinion no ME or a personal medical provider will take on the awesome legal liability in regard to ANY disease that calls into question a driver's awareness without at least YEARS of observing the patient. Sorry, life sucks, but remember a fully laden class 8 CMV can become an 80,000+pound rolling disaster in just a few seconds. If I make a mistake I much rather mistake on the side of caution.

Quite frankly how it is set up it causes very much undue inconvenience to people with that neurological condition who want to work and earn a living and it gives an out to people with that condition who are slothful at heart.

I don't know how many of you guys are still around, but it's suspected I have Asperger's Syndrome and I'm a pretty good driver.
