    Me too

my personal ride for the last 7 years has been a 06 expedition I paid $3,500 for

When it dies , its replacement will be the nicest 88-91 suburban I can find .

My brother's got a cherry '95 Yukon. It's not beat up and has always been maintained. It's a gas hog but it's reliable. My grandparents bought it new and left it to our dad after both passed. He had it about 10 years then gave it to my brother last year.

Sometimes I used to watch the mechum auto auction that's on TV. And amongst all the high dollar antique restorations, resto-mods and whatnot they'll have some nice unmolested pickups from the 70's, 80's, 90's that auction for $20k give or take. Some real low mileage nice ones. And compared to what you spend for and get on brand new these days well worth it imo.

Supply and demand. Ford is the one setting the prices, you’ll have to talk to them on that one.
The one Ford that was reliable for me was a 2010 Focus SE coupe. 2.0 liter Duratec 4 cylinder/5-speed manual.
And to date that particular generation of Focus model (2008-2011) has ZERO RECALLS!
Back then Alan Mullaly was running things, and he was emphasizing on quality control.
