It’s called “money on the brain”!!
When my wife and I bought our condo back in 2011(2 bedrooms, 1 and 1 1/2 bathrooms ,plus a finished basement (exclusively my domain) ,1 car garage with property taxes and condo fees it costed us just north of $174,000. Our mortgage is just under $1100. We were previously paying $1200 in RENT for a 1 bedroom apartment, even with subsidized housing credits!
And that’s in Massachusetts!!
Fast forward to present day our condo is now worth about $207,000 and some change! And we’re still coming out ahead!

Look at all these fools shelling out $60-$80K for Jeep Gladiators or Ford Broncos!!!
And they’re still working the bugs out of them!!!
That should tell you everything you need to know!!!
Flat Earth Trucker, Grumppy, '88K100 and 4 others Thank this. -
I know the feeling. Over the past few months I shelled out $3600 repairing my Fiat. New brake pads, rotors all around, plus a new wheel bearing. New fuel pump and evap/charcoal canister.
The scary part is my wife’s 2019 Camry had about $5000 worth of work including new brakes (her 3rd set in 3 years),new winter tires and scheduled maintenance!
She spent more on her car in 6 months than I spent on my car in 11 years!!
'88K100, Grumppy and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
Don't listen to Youtube "experts".
For example the GM plant in Flint that builds 2500 and 3500 trucks still works the occasional Saturday along with running 24/5 the rest of the week.
And GM will not be paying overtime if they didn't have a backorder of trucks they are trying to get caught up on. Plenty of trucks are getting sold to someone.LtlAnonymous, thatsright and bzinger Thank this. -
And you probably won't find one on the lot.
But they'll have loaded out ones for double the money ready to goREO6205, bzinger, LtlAnonymous and 2 others Thank this. -
Most likely. But they'd still be cheaper than $125k. I couldn't find one above $80k, unless I went with the obscene mega ultra model. Lolmjd4277, bzinger and slim shady Thank this.

I remember when loaded 2500 and 3500 Laramie Rams on the high end were $55k give or take back in 2007 when they still had the good 5.9 Cummins. That's what plain Jane hemi powered tradesman 2500/3500 are priced at now! They were offering $12,000 rebates back then to unload them because they sat unsold the lots were full of them. I got a nice one brand new for $30k which I thought was outrageous even back then but wow what a difference several failed administrations makes in the value of a dollar!
LtlAnonymous, mjd4277 and bzinger Thank this.
