My mom's husband just dropped $83,000 on a new GMC Sierra half ton that is pretty thoroughly decked out. It's a super nice truck but at the same time I remember when about 20 years ago you could buy a similarly decked out truck for half as much or perhaps less.

No, people thought it was crazy back then. What I thought was crazier was a brand new loaded up 2007 Ford F150 Lariat cost a lot more than what I paid for that Dodge and isn't half the truck. Funnier story it's only got 90,000 miles on it and at one time a year or year and a half ago I probably could've sold it for $30k. Inflated 2020's $30k of course, but still, that's crazy..bzinger Thanks this.
