Automakers wonder why their trucks aren’t selling??..it’s obvious

My mom's husband just dropped $83,000 on a new GMC Sierra half ton that is pretty thoroughly decked out. It's a super nice truck but at the same time I remember when about 20 years ago you could buy a similarly decked out truck for half as much or perhaps less.

 

And back then customers didn’t want to pay that much!lol

 

Okay, maybe sign me up. Lol

No, people thought it was crazy back then. What I thought was crazier was a brand new loaded up 2007 Ford F150 Lariat cost a lot more than what I paid for that Dodge and isn't half the truck. Funnier story it's only got 90,000 miles on it and at one time a year or year and a half ago I probably could've sold it for $30k. Inflated 2020's $30k of course, but still, that's crazy..

Hey, if you wanted a pick up to do just pick up stuff and maybe take you to work, it'd be just fine for me.
I am not a slave to fashion.....lol

 

Rather buy another Jetta for 20k and turn it into a pickup with a sawzall, lol

 

A mobility scooter would be less embarrassing..or the riding mower
