Hell yeah that better talk to you lol....honestly speaking, it'd speak to me as well. It'd take the real deal to pry me from where I'm at, but that don't mean I wouldn't listen if there were other offers. Drivers should always keep their options open, and if you prove to be an asset to your company, that'll give you leverage. There are many companies that will do what is necessary to keep their good drivers, but in turn they will do what is necessary to get rid of bad drivers too lol

That’s the thing. With over 3 years at the company we bid soon for next years routes and I got enough seniority to get a night time line haul run. Just don’t know if I can get used to working at night and it’s just driving and drop and hooking. But pays pretty well.

Here's another way to look at it. Take another job with a pay increase of $30,000.00 a year.
Put that pay increase in the bank and continue to live on what you're making now.
In 10 years, you'll have $300,000.00 in the bank, not including interest.

In another scenario, put that $30G in a credit union or USAA Federal Bank, using a retirement account. The odds are in your favor that $300G will be well over $1 Million.

OTR NE Wisconsin is anywhere from 55 to 60 on a W2 to start some pay off the hub , which i have always liked.
A lot of them are paying Detention the minute you pull in the shipper receiver.

Everyone’s always hiring. They all promise the moon. They’re all about the same. Have to be in order to be Competitive and get a slice of the Drivers available. Although I always say to work for pay, not promises. Being happy at a Job that works with your Life is best. No Job should be your whole Life. Short term with goals, maybe. Long term, happiness and consistency rules.

Lot of chemical tanker companies in NC. Heniff is a good one that I think will train experienced drivers

Try it if you can switch back to your current position. I knew a few drivers that would have switched companies if they were taken off nights. They liked that it was quiet and less busy. I've done both and don't care much either way but do prefer days. It really depends on your life outside of work.

When I first came to this site I was considering going OTR. All these horror stories about OTR companies and the lower than what they deserve pay has me thinking I’m better off staying put.
