Someone please tell me the average, typical height of a sleeper tractor.
Before y'all start howling about "too many variables", just a ballpark number will do.
Something like, "A typical sleeper cab will run between X ft. to X ft in height" .......
THANK YOU!
AVERAGE height of "typical" KW, Pete, etc. tractor

Could be a flat top, or stand up. And then the height of the stacks is the most important part. And let's not forget tire size.... -
I have to assume youre talking midroof to condo cab not coffin or flattop
My kw t600 midroof runs 11'-6" but condos on tall rubber are going to be pretty close to the 13'-3"Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Anywhere from 10' at the low end to 14' at the high end. Thats why there is no average height. Just a range a rig can be in. So many bloody things affect it.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
I’m 13’ 4” to top of the stack, 10-12’ to top of the cab
-
I'm 11'4 with a mid roof on small rubber. A lot of condos are right around the 13 mark and flat tops right around 10 maybe even a hair under. The stack on my mid is a little shorter than the cab
-
9’ to the top of the bunk
singlescrewshaker and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
13'6".
Or accept the fact that there are indeed too many variables. Exhaust stacks are probably the biggest factor for tractor height.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
13'6 is typically max legal height. Flat top with no stacks is probably in the 9-10' range. Car hauler specs would probably be even lower.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
THANKS!! to all who took the time to reply.
Got to admit feeling dumber than dirt here...
Building a 40' X 30' outbuilding. Want a door opening that will allow me to pull tractor in to service it.
Contractor asks, "How high for the roll-up door?" I look at contractor with "Deer-in-Headlights Look" and reply, "I don't know."
Yeesh!!! Spent over an hour trying to google tractor height, etc., no luck..........
Contractor "ballparks" construction cost at "Anything over 8' add $3,500 to $5,00 per foot."
Haven't bought tractor yet, looking for used older rigs, pre ELD and Emissions....
Again, THANKS!! all. Live and learn.............
