    I understand everything you are saying… I recommend you get a tape measure and head to the local truck stop and start measuring stacks. If you want a pre ELD truck many will be above the 12 foot mark. I’m 13’3 about and hit a friends door and his will get me in when all the way up and it is still squeaking by. What people are suggesting is 2 more feet. Trust us on it. You won’t regret it.

    All that and not smart enough to recognize that a 12’ door will cut your resale value of the shop by many thousands, as well as severely limiting the buyer pool....to save a few hundred bucks at best.
