i know some loads only go 30 miles sometimes, and others over 700 per trip, I'm asking cause if i come back to driving i would like to go west of the big creek you may say, i was looking at millis transfer and yes i did drive for them back in the 90's but they stay in the north east triangle Wis.to sc. to ma. area, being from pittsburgh,pa it maybe best for me to start in Columbus,oh terminal then switch to maybe edwardsville,ks terminal or oklahoma city terminal for better runs and less north east, and yes it will depend on how often i go home to, lets say 2 to 2 and a half weeks out will this work, thanks, please base your miles per trip over a 1 to 2 months period, thanks for your input

Running out west the average for me is 700+.. When I have student on truck this doubles... When I ran out east the average was 300+ this is why I stay on the west of the Mississippi....
Also out west I spend less time bumped to a dock.. East seems like I am always at a dockbiker dave Thanks this. -
I once made a list of all my loads over the course of a year. The vast majority were under 1000 miles. They seemed to be split pretty evenly between loads under 500 and loads 500-1000. I always ran more in the east than the west. I was based out of an eastern yard, and have an eastern address. It didn't matter to me- drivers get a higher pay rate for running east. And I did get west some of the time.
