But call it what you will. We're all drivers and most of us do it in unique ways. The one california kid, Sully92, gentleroger and 1 other person Thank this. -
Depends on the company and the driver. We aren't all on elogs driving slow trucks for mega fleets.

Nothing special about that. There's lots of fast company trucks out there on ELD's that with the new sleeper berth split regs can do anything you can do on paper. So what's the advantage of paper? I was on paper logs until about a year and a half ago. I haven't run more than 2,000 miles a week in probably 15 years now. My 3,000-5,000 mile weeks are long behind me. I dont look back on that time with fondness either. I don't necessarily like ELD's but the world is a different place now than 20 years ago. Any advantage of paper logs is an illusion.

The miles are not as much, but I am still out here 4-5 weeks between home times.
I run the same regional as I did OTR, just in a smaller area with mostly shorter trips. I may not be considered as OTR, but it still feels the same to me. -
Thanks for clearing that up... -
I've had weeks where I did 0 due to hometime, or maybe 350 just to get me home for hometime and then last week I had right at 4000 miles. It sure is nice to have a fast truck if everything works out well like it did for me last week.

On the other hand that’s how I feel. But to each his own. In fact if someone told me how to drive my rig I’d in a not so polite way tell them to worry about their rig and let me worry about mine. Unless they are a danger to others then I have a serious problem.Albertaflatbed Thanks this.
