I ran 141k last year doing otr open deck work with 70% of my miles being under a OD permit of some sort. In a slow company truck with an eld.

Doing legal freight the first two years on a “regional” account I ran 149k and 141k being home most weekends. Running from Wichita to Montreal with a multi stop load, down to WV and back to Wichita. “Regional” was a loosely applied term at my company.

I’m local and I do at most 200 a day. But usually at around 150 miles in 10-11 hours per day.

Well hello neighbor! I'm in ICT myself. My last leg of driving was for metro Xpress. Do you mind if I ask what company you're with? Or are you an O/O....

And I for one, being a crazy four wheeler/cager now wish to thank all my brothers and sisters who are out there living in a box bolted to the frame of a semi, bringing us all the necessary (and the crap we could live without) goodies and stuff, thank you and be safe out there!

My last year hauling long haul was 147,000 miles.
After that I went regional and did just under 100,000 a year plus home every weekend.

Yea but you're paid hourly and paid by the stop. Us OTR guys are paid straight mileage, and a little bit of extra stop pay, not much. You're paid to sit waiting for loads and unloads, we aren't, at least not until we've been there long enough to have set roots and sprouted a flower.

It really depends on what type of life you want to live, OTR typically gets you 10K or more per month, but some like to spend a bit more time at home and do as little as 8K per month as an OTR driver. I say drive as little as possible for as much as you can lol, but at my company we have drivers who live in their trucks full time and do over 140K.

Dang! I'll bet you're getting a work out too! Driving that '54 international, unless you modified it and put on some power steering! And what tranny is in that, an eighteen-double-over?
