Hi guys I just past my CDL-A test , have all endorsements and twic card. I send my resume and apply to 6 different companies in my area but after 2 weeks I’m still waiting, not sure if and just too eager to get on the road or this waiting time is normal for western Massachusetts. not looking for anything fancy, but I would like to take home at least 1k a week and some benefits.

I applied to a few ltl companies a few months ago and they are just now starting to call lol. I'm looking at you averitt, xpo, and saia lol. I think it all depends on how fast the hr department moves because my company only took about a week from the time of application until I was sitting in orientation.

Call them. If you would have called them 2 weeks ago, you would probably be in a truck by now. Or at least know if they are interested.

CALL them, if you want a job and they are in the area, go talk to them.

with the amount of applications they get, all applications get put to the bottom..it can be decades before they get to yours.

i'd start calling THEM if i were you and wanted a job.

in general, when ever i applied for a job, i GAVE them ONE to 3 DAYS to call me back.

if no call back, i'd be calling them.

many other times, i'd apply in person (nowadays they prefer online apps however), and be pushy to get the job.

Yet dont call too often. You can make an employer twice glad.

Glad to see you arrive, then glad to see you leave.

You might have to wait 15 years to hear back from a good company and you might only have to wait 15 minutes to hear back from one of the Mega carriers.
