averitt express, regional is low miles and transferring out can take months.

The drivers who had that route probably moved on to bigger and better things. That's trucking for you I suppose.

 

It sounds like they may have hired directly into Mercedes Supply Chain, the ones we call Gray Shirts. There were two when I was in orientation also, one was going to be yard jockey and the other local warehouse delivery. The have a handful of local drivers that pull the 57 footers around a limited area.

 

Yea they wore gray uniforms and everyone else wore standard red.
