    Hi Folks, I am a regional truck driver for Averitt, I've been here for 3 years. I was just in a major crash that totaled their truck. By the grace of God (and seat belts) I walked away. What I expected was to be fired, What I got was suspended during the time it took to investigation. They were professional, and considerate. After they finished I was reinstated. I had always thought well of my company, Benefits and pay are good. This made me want to drive for them more than ever. What a great company. There is no perfect world for us drivers, but for me I'm here to stay.

    Were you the one on 24 EB at the 66MM? (East of Nashville)
    Drivers side down, roof against the wall... That was an ugly one.
    I had hoped every one was ok.

    There were a bunch of 4 wheelers spun around on the right shoulder and 2 or 3 big trucks rolled over on the right bank.

    That was a nasty storm that passed through there.

    I was sitting at the red light on the bridge at exit 81 to make a left and head toward Nashville on 24 when that storm went through.
    I thought I was going to blow over just sitting there.

    Glad you're ok and still have your job.

    I have always heard good things about them. Seems like most places wouldn't even think twice about firing someone for an accident.
