It’s common for new truckers to job hop some the first 2-3 years until they find a good fit. But yes you’re right you should try to stick it out at least six months of each company. That’s kind of the unwritten rule or threshold to keep you above being labeled a “job hopper“ a year at each place is better.

as for not being reimbursed, you can bet your bottom dollar they do that on purpose. The company I work for occasionally does it as well. They were doing it to me on scale tickets and I told him I will never scale another load again unless they pay for the scaling upfront. Via an app or some other method. Just tell them you’re broke, CC is maxed out, sorry.

Wow, you gave him a ton of options on that thread. I'm surprised he didn't try Freymiller or Pride, both of which you on there.....

To the OP, do you know exactly what you're looking for?

Why are you paying for repairs on a company truck?!! Secondly - if a run cannot be done legally, advise dispatch that it cannot be done legally and don't do it!

Dispatch will send you somewhere to get you're truck fixed and the owner won't pay for it because he didn't authorize it himself. As for running illegally they refuse to change appointment times, they will either call you and tell you that you better make it or else or just flat out ignore you.

I don't think Pride hires out of where I live, as for Frey Miller I was strongly considering them but this company is only a couple hours from my house where as Frey Miller is halfway across the country. Also was looking in to Marten Transport but this company offered me a way higher CPM

Do you have a place to park a truck near your home?

Tell the shop they have to call dispatch or whoever to get authorization to repair the truck, no authorization...no repair. If you have the means to pay for a repair, you have the means to get home. Always give dispatch your eta once loaded. If they have a problem with it....then they have a decision to make, because you don't run illegal. If they fire you, then they have done you a favor.

Don't let the threat of being fired force you to do something that you know is stupid.. It's like knowingly going to a gun fight with a knife! No one will want to hear the excuse that they made you, so save it!
