Now I'm a total newb when it comes to axle weights in the states. Done pretty much all my trucking in Canada. Just trying to get my understanding of the weights right.
Steer: 12000lbs
tandem: 34000
tridem: 43500
You can permit an axle grouping on a tandem to 43,000? And tridem to 54,000? How do they view my single axle jeep? I just run down to Tacoma in Washington btw.

Well with Wa. it will depend on your spacing. They will allow the jump jeep.
I have a 4'7" spread on my trk. tri., but they will not give me a full 60 on it.
Best thing is measure your spacing's and have your permit person check the Wa. rules.nate980 Thanks this. -
Nate go to http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/CommercialVehicle/permitting.htm go down into resources and tools and they have an axle spacing calculator. Input your spacings and tire sizes and it will give you your max permittable weights.
