I know the law is not that new and no i did not have the paint job done it was bought off the Pete dealship just the way i saw it. I do not care if it is compliance with the law, i will not stick reflective tape on it just so some dumb ### can see me better, thats why the truck has lights. Thats why this indusrty is going down the drain because everybody just takes what is pushed down are throught with no fight. If you think reflective tape on your truck is great, good for you, i think it is BS ,just like when the tryed banning having more than 5 lights on the roof which i do.
-
Well, if your lights fail when you are bobtailing, which will NEVER HAPPEN BECAUSE IT IS BS, then no one can see you.
If I hit your truck and it not properly marked, I know you better have good insurance.
But then again, perfect guys like you never are wrong.
Continue with the I am better attitude and enjoy your tickets. You earned them.Last edited: Jan 24, 2011
Pur48Ted Thanks this. -
Occasionally these p****** matches you people engage in are entertaining, but those occasions are coming fewer and further between. If you want to give the cops a reason to harass you, that's your business, but in my opinion there are more significant things to oppose than 10 bucks worth of reflection material.

You're right.....it isn't a Federal regulation but IS an Arizona Regulation. It is the responsibility of the driver to KNOW and COMPLY with all laws and regulations.
Ignorance (of the Law) is no excuse. -
I know of at least 3 other states with the same rules. I have not looked to see if it is federal or not.
-
However, that doesn't explain why a driver can get a ticket if it is lower than three; or higher than three. Either position hardly obstructs the driver's field of view.
-
No, what is driving this INDUSTRY down is people like you that think they can thumb their noses at the same regulations the rest of us follow.
-
I looked all thru the Federal Regs and there is only one mention of "mud flaps", and it references lighting and reflectors.

Go ahead and rearend me, know matter what it will still be your fault because you rearended me.
