Dude, get diagnosed and get treated. Sounds like you have Diabetes. They will not let you come back until you are treated by your doctor and your blood sugar is under control.
I believe there is a specific A1c level you must be under before the doc will clear you.

Oh, if you have to go on insulin injections, forget about coming back to Prime
-
You need to see a doctor immediately!

471? That's not blood, that's syrup! You will get insulin to bring that down to human levels, but once they have you stabilized, you'll get put on medication (most likely Metformin), and some training on how to check your own blood sugar, and a nutrition class.
It's going to take a couple of months to get yourself stabilized; use that time to figure out what triggers sugar spikes for you. Eventually, you'll be able to tell by how you feel if your sugar is high or low. -
Numbers like yours (327 & 471) are very very likely a diagnosis of Diabetes. As long as you are not Insulin dependent, you should be able to pass a DOT physical if you can get the numbers down. Another issue to consider -- two out of three Diabetics will develop heart disease.
Smoking + Diabetes usually = vapor lock.
The good news - Treatment of Diabetes in this era has come light years ahead of what it was even 20 or 30 years ago. It's a matter of managing the issue daily. If that happens, one can live a long life usually with all limbs intact. My Grandmother made it to 86, and she passed in the mid 1970s, when treatment was still fairly primitive, as compared to today. With 25 million Diabetics out there, the R&D money is there to bring better care to market. Don't ignore high blood sugar - it's very much like putting sugar in an engine's fuel tank. Eventually it will tear things up inside.
Insulin dependance full time means no how, no way to legally pass the DOT physical. If you are a newly diagnosed adult onset Diabetic, chances are excellent you should be able to control your sugar without Insulin, and so should pass a DOT physical. I don't believe there is any way around this rock solid Insulin use DOT physical disqualification, unless certain states are doing waivers for intrastate driving only.
My experience with Prime is that they are a good company who will try to work with you on this, but their hands are tied until you can get things under control. Pardon my preachin' but don't ignore this issue. Diabetes can be a tricky thing, because one can feel great, but inside some real damage can occur over the long term.
There is a silver lining here - the primary treatment for Diabetes is to eat right, and try to get some exercise. Walking is excellent. You can't hate what those two things will do for any of us, with or without Diabetes.Last edited: Mar 17, 2013
DreamChaser!!! Thanks this. -
Got out the hospital last night. Blood sugar is at normal now. In the next hour I will go get my prescription pills I have to take every 12 hours for 3 months. The doctor also gave me a paper on things to eat and how often I should eat them. The Thing is I never had diabetes before. It was a little high 2 weeks before going when I checked but the doctor told me I should be fine, but by the time when I got there it was high. Instead of going lower or staying there it went up higher fast, and really fast to. Other than that everything is good when they checked. I guess I will give this a try but this might be a problem for me taking this for 3 months every 12 hours. Will Prime even accept this if I tell them because I feel nervous about telling them about this situation. Not being accepted back or getting sent home and ending up going with another company is not my plan I intend to do

you better take this seriously.
Youve already failed Prime's physical once. They know that you have sugar in your urine, which means they know what you need. Medical clearances from your treating doctor and test results from him that your blood sugar is under control for at least a couple months.
id get with Prime and get the specifics on what you need and when you can come back. I imagine it will be at least a couple months. -
