If you even have a refrigerator in the truck I might get stuck to it and dragged down the road. It happened again last night! And the guy got out of his truck and leered at me. I gave him an I hate you look but he didn't wither or burst into flames.

You just gotta love reefers I have an apu so it does not bother me as much but when I worked as a company driver delivering windows we did not have apu's and I was at the J in Blacksburg SC when a reefer driver backed in 2 spots below me and unhooked from his 1776 year model reefer and then nosed his tractor in the spot between us. I wanted to unhook and block him in but I was a nice person about it but it was hard to play purty.

    My solution is this........
Concentrate on the noise. After about 5 minutes it becomes White Noise.
    Then go to sleep
    It works

A reefer running puts me to sleep. I sleep with a fan on at home.

Casper must be pretty well insulated, cause I don't hear a lot of the truck stop noise.

Now if someone has a perpetual parked regen / fan clutch thing going, or the Carrier refer unit, I think it's cause the noise is higher up, then it sucks.

I move if there's a chance. But nosing in is the best way to avoid about 95% of all that good nonsense.

The worst for me and our refer trailer is defrost. The low rumble of that gets me. I remember dry van and parking next to refer. Yes, it was loud on some others were not as bad.
We lost our bedroom fan that I needed to circulate air and for covering up in laws noise. That was unnerving to hear that silence. Made hubby buy another so I could sleep. I am a light sleeper if I can hear little noises. I have no issues sleeping in truck as we idle when sleeping so refer is just extra white noise and vibration.

    jsnell and Wickedfire77 Thank this.
