Generators that get loud and rattle need their silencer/muffler replaced or in some cases they can be repacked. You can also remove the muffler and have an extension welded to move the fumes farther away from the cab and then add as many mufflers as you like.

It’s no secret how to quiet these things.

Repack kits are available at most motorcycle shops or probably Amazon.
