    I’m trying a new technique.

When I pull into a TS I search out the reefers already there. My assumption is that they’re going to leave before me and the spots have a better chance of being filled by a flatbed or dry van. By always avoiding the reefers I’m actually attracting them. So by chasing them they’ll run away just like someone you want to date.

It’s a little Taoism and a bit of Zen.

Either way I swear my truck has a giant flashing LED sign that says “reefers park here” on the roof. Besides if I didn’t complain about this I’d find something that truly bothers me. This is just fun.

Maybe sprinkle a ring of salt around your truck and hang garlic on the hood.

Making the best of a load with too much time on it and catching a 34hr reset in Ohio.
Freight is cheap and scarce right now but I've got the rest of the week planned with 1/2 decent $$. Runs me past the house where I will stop just long enough to cast ballot in early voting then on to grab another 34 visiting my son at Barksdale to celebrate his retirement from the air force after 20+. I'm so proud of him..and my daughter-in-law too. She was his total partner and cheerleader through it all.

Uh oh. I've got real trouble now. My transmission is slipping badly. I have to eggshell the throttle or else it lets go and the rpms whirr up and there's a nasty crunchy sound. Originally would get that sound occasionally if I had to brake down fast in high gear. Plus I mentioned earlier about clutch brake not working.

Here's what I know: warrantee will be useless because no matter what it will be chalked up to driver abuse. It will take at least 5 days in the shop..1st 24 hours just to get it in.

Thanks to restarting from below $0 after first truck fiasco I only have $2000 in maintenance account and 1 weeks pay in my pocket. I'm pretty well screwed.

I believe my lease adventure may be Grinding to a halt (pun intended). It will stink going back to company driver.

You're clutch is going out. You need to get it taken care of PDQ before you're sitting on the side of the road someplace. You got that big overdrive gear, can't lug it in 9th.

JB says don't worry about repair$$ they will work it out...we shall see. JB mechanic guru over phone says sounds like hydraulic slave cylinder and I could carry lite load or bobtail home ok as long as ...as you say.. I don't lug or whir...
Think I'm gonna try to get her home.

Open the clutch reservoir and see if there is any fluid in it. It looks like the master cylinder on a cars brakes. It's on the firewall on the drivers side. It will be square and opaque plastic. Take the lid off, and see if there is fluid in it. If it's empty, fill it up with brake fluid.
