The real problem is it won’t throw a code and then they can’t diagnose the sparking wire problem, and your truck dry rots.

The hits just keep coming. This one was self inflicted. I drove 188 miles before scaling my load only to discover it wont. Now I have to go back to the shipper and get it reworked. Lost time and money when I could afford it least. What an amateur mistake.

Jesus. How much is it over and where is it going? Before i added almost 400 miles to a run id rather go around the scales or just pay the tickets.

Total weight ok. Tandems all the way back 35700. 37500 at 41 notch. There were no weigh stations on Ohio 33 Or cat scales which is how I ended up going so far. Going I-77 to pageland SC. I would be ok except Virginia will nail me for sure.
Only other time I had this happen was 7 years ago in Kansas. Tandems were off by 500 and all I had to do was move a couple notches to make it legal. The mutt in Kansas bagged me for $175 and it went on dac as operating unsafe equipment. And she would have shut me down if I couldn't have gotten it legal.

On another note I'm getting sick of cheap and heavy through the doggone mountains.

yeah, I just did the 64-77 from Lexington KY to Winston Salem and then I suddenly remembered why I hated that route......fortunately, I only had 15k in the box, so it wasn't as miserable as it could have been

There ought to be a 30k limit on the mountain loads. Cheap shippers could leave off a pallet or two. But nooo... Gotta stuff it tighter than a fat lady's yoga pants.

Take 77 south exit on us 460 in west Virginia. East to 81. south to 77 if it's at night and nc would be closed. Otherwise go north to Roanoke and run 220 south to i85 to Charlotte and get back on 77.
