I started following her journey several months back after randomly seeing some super trucker owner op telling her how wrong she is with everything she was doing.

She said it herself, she has already signed up for the ride so let’s try and help her make the best of her current situation. If you can’t help her with where she is currently then telling her how wrong you think she is does her absolutely no good.

When people tell her what she needs to do, they need to first realize that her current situation may very likely be different than theirs. UturnGirl may have some obstacles to overcome to make her business successful, but with time and persistence it still is possible. If it doesn’t work, then hopefully she will have learned from it. Even those of us who have a completely different business model can still give her pointers occasionally to help her squeeze more profit out of the revenue she currently has.

I have avoided whining about the bad breaks I've encountered because as one driver once growled at me, "Everyone has a story". But I feel compelled because it's been brought up so much.
Truck 1..dart . great truck lots of money. family member needed me at home. I drove tankers for oil n gas locally for awhile.
Truck 2..dart . great truck lots of money. appendix ruptured and I spent several weeks in icu .. Yes weeks. Went bankrupt lost everything including house.
Truck 3..dart . truck needed $10k in repair but I got it perfect..fell out of my truck and snapped in half 3 ribs. Yes not just broke..snapped in half. After 3 months recovery went to work for jbhunt hauling containers local. My recovery was incomplete and I was just exhausted all the time so I attempted to retire and got out of trucking.
Truck 4..well it was this last pos that y'all have been following.

So here I go again. I expect success. I shall prosper. I won't own a truck at the end but I will be debt free.

Thanks Opus. The thing is.. I love trucking. It provides a good living ( usually) and every morning I wake up excited about what lies ahead.

As a firm believer in the adage we learn more from our failures than we do from our successes what are the lessons that truck 2,3 and 4 taught us? And what are the steps we must put in place to prevent repeating the same failures?

Truck 2 Ummm. If you get a pain in your right side don't ignore it? Also..insurance insurance and more insurance.

Truck 3. That one was a little trickier for me. First of all I always always always practice 3 points of contact and wear slip resistant boots so I was mystified by fall until an old hand said to me, "Your mind was still inside that cab." I saw the truth in what he said and now take care to be in the moment.
As for giving up truck 3 I had insurance o'plenty (see #2) including truck payment insurance. But I had made a so so truck perfect and highway sales wanted that truck back so badly they hounded me daily to give it back. I was injured, in pain, and on Vicodin. Lesson? Don't make a desicion when you are flat on your back.

The bad news is I was emotionally and financially flat on my back prior to BCL screwing I just didn't know it was without vasoline.

Not there today. If I don't like this truck I have options.

Now. I'm tired of explaining myself. Next time tell me what you did to louse up...fill in the blanks...because they crucified the last perfect person 2000 years ago.

You got it with needing health insurance and occupational accident insurance. But one more thing is needed. Cash reserves.

As for my own screw ups. That list is a mile long. Add up all of yours then put 2 or 3 zeroes on the end and you might equal me in the how bad can i f things up category.

@spyder7723 If you were paying attention you would understand I had no cash reserves and few choices. Get off your high horse.

I'm interested in some first hand information on the X15.

Everyone I've spoken to at fuel islands and truck stops has spoken well of them.

And don't get mad for us wanting to know what happened.

You had all these detailed blow by blow posts, and then this radical change, with no information.

The bag lady image of you and the dogs with WalMart cart isn't that overwhelming lol.

I hope it works for you.
