That's an I10 truck, last time I was geared like that ,I was turning LA to Atlanta and return. As soon as you see the Welcome to Arizona sign, you put the pedal to the metal and don't let off till you see the lights of Atlanta!

    speedyk and UturnGirl Thank this.

Wow. A lot has changed since I’ve been there. That actually sounds appealing.

Before anyone can say its appealing or appalling we need to know the freight rates. Is it 65% of good paying freight? Or 65% of cheap freight? This thread is 40 pages long and i don't recall any in-depth discussion of the freight rates.

All I'm gonna say to all before the woulda, shoulda slinging starts, is the horse is out of the barn. The barn has burnt down, and the farm has been auctioned off.

    So, moving forward.

But I'll tell ya, once you get a 13 speed, and get used to it, you'll never want to drive a 10 again .
My new (used) truck has a 10, and it's like being back in driving school again. Thankfully, it has a DD15.

I'd just be amazed if they let her do it because it's altering the truck. I'd be all in favor of it, I just don't think they will let her.
