Wow. Just wow. Another reason to not lease a truck. I am so steamed. As a professional driver I am of the opinion this tractor needs a pm oil change based on various signs and wonders. So I want to access the maintenance escrow I have been paying into. They tell me I must get permission to have anything done because it is only for "necessary" maintenance and if they don't think it's necessary I can buzz off. !

And the phone tree one must endure to contact them. 24 hr access to breakdown but try to get an oil change at 5am. Bag full of curses.

This is why I started paying cash for everything under my new lease. It's all tax deductible anyways and it's WAY less of a hassle to just pop out the old debit card...in and out. I save the maintenance account for major problems.

I want to do that too. Sadly past few months drained me like a vampire. Last week was first settlement I felt caught up and in the black. My acct is thin. But yes. That is the smart way to go alright.

Yes, this could happen to me as well as far as the financial drain aspect. I just had hernia surgery and I'm down for I don't know how long. I'm having to pay my lease out of pocket while I recover. Not too happy about it, but it is what it is. I saved for years before I started to lease and I'd hate to have to start pulling from my "Oh S!!!" fund.

I had hernia surgery awhile ago. You will get strong steadily. Just don't do something stupid trying to push it. Best wishes to you.

UTurnGirl do you have a contract with them? Look it over see what it says on the maintenance.

Yeah will do. You know they stack the cards though. Also as I think about it I'm taking office chicks word for it. May be after I speak to maintenance it will be different. These companies are like ...hey! I got a way to make money! Lets lease a bunch of trucks and they haven't a clue.
