    Like the title says I'm about to go back to Schneider on the % plan again. Since I left... Tablets have really come on strong. Can you use a tablet for the Freight Place load board or is a lap top still a better choice? Thanks in advance

    I have no experience with tablets, but they have come a long way in the last couple of years. The Ipad may work for you, but just to be on the safe side a small 12-13 inch laptop or netbook will do for sure especially for portability.

    My iPad is a lot smaller than most laptops and is more portable. Not to mention the 10 hour battery is a huge plus.

    That said, if I were going to buy something to use as a business owner, I would definitley recommend a lap top. It is far and away the better of the two for productivity. A tablet is a great consumption device but not very good for storing info, creating files and spreadsheets and such.

    I own both, and love my ipad, but when it comes to the better business tool it's clearly a lap top, .... for me.
