Same thing happened to my Daddy before I was born... Some black lady pulled up in a Caprice and said ta filler up, sos he did. After he was done she argued she only wanted 5 bucks worth. So Daddy told her to wait one sec, he runs in the garage and grabbed a cold chisel and 3lb hammer... One good tap on the bottom of the tank and told her to have a nice day! Lol

What's that sup posed to mean. Going by name alone, I'd say guy got book thrown at him. Now if he was named Steven, Ralph, or John Jones he probably would get a little white crime probation.

I doubt that the percentage of OO thieves is any greater than company driver thieves, a thief is a thief.
I can't count the amount of times I have heard guys selling gear and fuel on the radio, I doubt any of them were owner op's.
Also it doesn't even have to be a trucker, I went to high school with a couple of guys that made their spending money stealing and selling spare tires. We have a fuel theft problem here, but it is not truckers, it is people stealing it for home heating fuel.

Man, I had to re'read this 'resurrected' thread. Many of the contributors aren't even ON here, anymore. Just sayin', I've got no input / opinion otherwise.

I've got a LOT of extra tires for previous vehicles in my barn if anyone's interested, however.

I’ve got a couple used spare tires under my trailer locked up with a thick chain and a good padlock. That chain cannot be broken with a regular bolt cutter. I know because I had to break it once when I couldn’t get the padlock to open. It’s been almost a year now, and nobody has tried taking them. I guess it also helps to have a trailer skirt hiding them.
