I have my engine serial number for my Detroit diesel 60 series engine and I was wondering if anyone could give me the backdoor password for it? Thanks in advance

"IDontHaveAClue" normally works for questions like these....
MartinBeenJammin Thanks this. -
Factory four zero's, and if that don't work, you can knock three times on the ceiling, or twice on the pipes if the answer is no.
Bobble, VARITHMS and leftlanetruckin Thank this. -
You could always go to Detroit etc and have them just program what you want in it. ASSuming of course it is YOUR truck......

Yes it is our truck...... And have an appointment scheduled just trying to get it fixed before we take it in on Tuesday, since we were supposed to be out on the road a week ago. 0000 doesn't work, we already tried it.

I hate to state the obvious.....but if Detroit can't figure it out, I doubt anyone here would know it off hand.
If it was an ex fleet truck, they probably had a password in there to stop company drivers from turning it up etc. Maybe contact them if thats the case?
I have yet to hear of an ecm that Detroit couldn't get into, but I have also never owned an old fleet truck myself.

Good luck trying to hack, four combinations of 0 to 9, is 10 to the fourth power, which adds up to 10,000 combinations.

Ask a 12-year-old Russian, they'll have it hacked by lunch.
Lucar, crappiejunkie, Big_D409 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I never stated that Detroit diesel can't get into it. I just don't want to wait any longer to get out on the road. It was worth a try asking on here. Maybe someone else had that issue or a contact that could help me out!
