Background Check/ Permit Question (NY)

I don't have the answer to your question, but you definitely have the best screen name in here, LOL.

 

Unpaid speeding ticket means when the licensing bureau in NY does their tickets check and background search, your application will die right there. In fact if Vt has a bench warrant out guess who will be leading you out of the room? Not your GF!

The best thing you can do right now is pay the thing because if you were to be stopped by any police officer in any state in your car (remember you will NOT get any new license anywhere with a outstanding ticket out there) and he runs the same check they all do you'll be sitting in his back seat also.

It doesn't matter if you don't have the money "right now" because Murphy will raise his ugly face and it's going to happen! Get the money somehow and sent it to VT and get it over with!

As for walking into a license office I'd hold off on that as a bad idea. It will rank up there with "Here hold my beer and watch this!" You won't be heading to a hospital but a jail cell until VT decides what to do with you which could be you pay what is owed to wherever the jail is you are sitting in and I hope it's not Rikers!

I would beg, borrow or well not steal it but get it some how before your luck runs out. I also would NOT pay any money to a driver mill as they WILL lie to you and take it and tell you everything is just sweet and then you'll get the door slammed in your face when you go to get that learners permit!

Quit screwing around and get it done!

back round check for a permit? i hink im missing something. im a newb but have never seen a bunch of dumber questions on here. um if i smoked pot, got a dwi/owi, 10 speeding tickets, crashed my moms car after stealing it when i was 14 can i still get hired? @#$%^&^&* really idiots!!!
