Only way not to go through it again is to not take that same load again.

Well, it's not the 70's anymore, I believe it's mentally challenged now. I guess people that deal with people that have a development handicap, feel that word is offensive. Like "hillbillies" much prefer "Mountain Williams" now.

IMHO your looking at the scenario wrong......its not a road to a road---its just another dock bump--look at the driveway you are backing into as any other dock--then set up for it like any other.....And the ditches etc r just other trucks...... As usual its all in your setup--& you might wanna stop thinking about that 90deg thing---again IMHO that's jus driving skool&cdl book BS----I can count on one hand the #of times....i have actually done a 90 back there is always an angle to start with& again it starts w/your set up.....
And b4 it all starts--Remember I do long haul LTL---averaging 15stops a week for better part of 40 years---so yeah I've been some pretty interesting situations:D

All backing is just driving backwards. You are the one in charge. You make the trailer go where you want it to. There is no magic to any of this. The trailer does not have a mind of its own although somedays it seems like it does. Just build your confidence. There will come a time when you no longer even notice what special problems you have, you will just drive the trailer backwards.

Remember, we all had to learn. We all had to gain experience. We all thought like you do at one time. You will soon be a professional backer like the rest of us and on that day, a newbie will scratch the hell out of your new trailer.
