OK you don't use or hang around those that do. Good man. Make sure you stay away from the few trucking companies using hair follicle tests. You need to be 6 motnhs clean to reliably test clean. I've never heard of Delta 8 or care what it does or who says its OK. Every few months there something else being sold in gas stations and other disreputable locations. Avoid it all.

Big respect to you for coming here and asking important questions before you made a big mistake. And double that respect for taking a private drug test before the real one. Not many newbies in here think ahead like that. You have a good instinct. There are lots of people ready to help you find a good place to get started. You don't have to be perfect to get a good job in trucking. It's has rescued tons of us with difficult backgrounds and mistakes in our past.

Thanks for the kind words, sadly most CDL schools I know of require hair follicle testing in 2022, I'll have to do some.morw research on it, but it looks like waiting out another couple months is all I have planned.

Starting with CR England is almost certainly going to turn you into one of the 80-90% of new CDL holders that leaves the industry for good before even 1 year of expierence. Imagine any problems you have now, but also owing CR England for CDL school because they treated you so poorly that you quit. Over half of their drivers have less than 1 year experience. Any trainer you would have had is likely to have only 1-2 month more experience than you have. He will have almost nothing to teach you and the training period a your first company is where you learn 90% of this job. Even starting at a great company that treats you like a movie star this job will be hard enough and you will think about quitting. You will feel lonely, you won't know what to do in a situation you were never properly trained for and you have someone yelling at you to hurry up and do something. A company like CR England that hires several thousand drivers per years to replace the several thousand drivers that quite every year will not put any time into taking care of what they assume is a disposable employee number.

The research you need to do is research trucking companies. The CDL manual and the skills go ahead and assume you will learn them. Almost every one learns them. The trucking company atmosphere and equipment and schedule is what makes your first years almost imposssible, pretty bad, OK, not too bad, kind nice, or why didn't I do this years ago. Trucking companies are not doing you a favor, they are getting a heck of a bargain hiring newbies for the cost of CDL school or much much less. Think about whether you need to be home daily, want to stay out for one week at a time or can be away from home for several weeks and then be home for almost a week. If you can do physical work like hustling frozen freight into restaurants or beverages into convenience stores and bars you can both be home daily and make over $1k per week.

@Chinatown is our resident expert and knows so many companies and has provided leads to so many newbies and vets looking for ANY job, a better job, or a change of jobs. He'll need to know your town and state and he'll have options. Stop thinking you are some lost cause deserving of whatever someone decides they don't want anymore. Almost EVERY trucking company is hiring.

I really appreciate this reply. Schooling grants are out of the question for me currently, and I've unfortunately been unemployed for the better part of 3 years due to caretaking a disabled family member with long COVID complications, so I'm pretty #### near unhirable outside of CR England as far as I know. I know they're terrible, but I was thinking I could rough it out and take what I needed from one year of hell, or better yet, save up for 2-3 months, pay off the schooling, and leave. It wasn't a blind decision to apply to them, Ive read everything there is to read about them, but I guess I'll take this advice and keep on hunting. At worst, I'll find a new job while I wait out the drug tests to give me some form of employment history.

I apologize for assuming people have heard of it. For example, it's the o'doyles of alcohol.
Legal, doesn't get you high, slightly calming effects. It's like CBD, only it happens to cause a positive on THC drug testing, and sticks around for apparently, over 4 months.

In short, it's something very stupid people do to help them get to sleep.

Does CR England do urine test or hair follicle test?
Call CR England and just say you aren't coming to orientation. If they bill you for the stuff you already did, then deal with that later.
