Straight backing I did OK. Offset backing, parallel backing, and alley dock backing is so hard. I feel like I'm in backing hell. I need the secret to backing up
Backing up a flatbed trailer is no joke

If you are able to back straight, you can back and follow a trailer around at any angle all the way in.
If you treat the trailer like a car with the whole tractor and all it's wheels as just the steer you will do better. -
I agree, watch the tires, and don't over correct!
C.S.T Thanks this. -
split axle flatbed ?
I agree they are a complete pain in the butt . A dump valve really helps for the sharp angles !!Justrucking2 and C.S.T Thank this. -
I will give it a try again tomorrow. This time I will stare at the tires
-
Use dump valve if equipped. You definitely don’t want to over cut

I tried offset backing this morning and mess up so I went to blind side parallel and did that on my first try without no pull up. I 'm getting there. Anything that is man made, I can conquer it. I just boosted my spirit level up. Now I feel like I can do anything now.

That's a good mindset to have .
Another thing that sucks about those split axles is they wil back differently when you're really heavy . I really can't stand when people make fun of "flatbedders" backing .
did you find out if your trailer has a dump valve ? -
I have ideal. It's cypress truck lines flatbed. After lunch break I tried offset backing again and I did it. I wasn't taking advantage of my pull ups and making imaginary line on the payment. Now I have the concept of it now
Lonesome Thanks this.
