Bad atitudes verses positive

Now I like my "Mothers" pink and white animal cookies....No other brand will do!
If I sent you to the store to get "Mothers" pink and white animal cookies and you came back with "generic" "on sale" animal cookies, We're gonna have a problem!

I'll fire you on the spot and toss you stuff out in the parking lot and then I'll report it on your DAC as an abandonment and failure to follow instructions....You'll never work again in this industry Missee!!!!

So it's back to "flippin' burgers" for you...

I take my cookies seriously!

Well just read what you wrote and see the bad attitude. I respect you for the time you done the job and but the whinning you show here destroying that respect. Not all look at it as bad as it is, but a challenging time. If we can make it now, we should be doing great when it improves... It can be done, just by you surviving is an encouragement.

Miss spelling is my least worry, it the attitude that hurts you most. By the way I do not haul 0.80 freight.

 

SouthernPride, your awesome. I have a lot of respect for you and I appreciate the support and help you have offered me here.

I believed you said somewhere where you didn't even finish highschool. Yet, look at all you have and are doing. There are a lot of well educated failures.

There is a neighbor of mine who I just adore and respect. He is an older gentleman and runs his own successful business. He is an honest hardworking true to his word guy, do business with him onece and your a customer for life. He has helped me out a lot since I bought my home and moved into the neighborhood. He helped me install my new dishwasher, has fixed my washer and dryer a couple times as well as worked on my cars. When I told him I wished I had a bigger garage, he made it happen. He and I even renovated my deck this last summer.

Anyway. He is very old school and is from a time when a young boy would go to work and not school to help pay family bills. He never went pastthe 6th grade. Sometimes he will bring over some mail or something for me to read to him. To me that is nothing compared to all he does for me. I have a lot of love and respect for him. He can't read or spell very well, but, he has done very well for himself and his family.

He lives two houses down from me. In the house between us is a very educated college grad who is out of work more often than working and about to lose his house. I would feel bad for him, except when my uneducated neighbor offered him a job at his company, he turned it down because it was beneath him and his education.

Southernpride, you are a good egg in my book. I respect you a lot.

 

Good or bad spelling and/or grammar is one thing...

NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER, MESS WITH A MANS COOKIES....OR NUTS....UNFORGIVABLE SIN!!!!!

 

Education is all good. But in business it really isn't nothing. You have to have common sense, a strong work ethic, & the willingness to learn on the job!

There are some exceptions!

Mr. SP..I really do appreciate your posts, I can't remember one that didn't instill some inspiration, some knowledge that I didn't have, and the sense of pride you show in your work. If I sounded harsh in the statement about the fisticuffs, my apologies...but I agree, I too have learned to walk away for the simple fact that it takes too long to heal!

Interesting, I just noticed, the abbreviated moniker of yours, is the same two letters that the internet folks use to question their own spelling (sp),...so type away, in your posts we don't notice or pay any heed to anything misspelled!

Talk about thread hijacking...this takes the cake!!! I almost fel guilty to continue.......OK, I'm over it...back to the fun!

Coastie I like what you said. I am a newbie and making my way thru the my first year. Somtimes I feel as a newbie I don't know enough to complain. LOL

When I read about how bad it is now in the industry, I think wow, I am doing okay and having fun now, wonder how cool it will be when things improve.

I have shared one of my favorite quotes before, but here it is again.

That has been my attitude in trucking. I didn't consent and go with a bottom feeder company, I knew I could get better. I don't look and nit pick at the bad, I focus on the good and what I enjoy.

Before I went to school and got my CDL I always wonder what it would be like to drive one of those big trucks. Now, I am and getting paid as well.
