Ever heard of National Traffic Systems? Im more looking for people who arent dirt cheap. Credit I can figure out on my own. Just trying to cut back the time of feeling out who will pay more than a dollar a mile.

+1 on doing the credit check thing.
There's a tons of brokers out there and to compose a list like that would be futile. Like anything else in life, buyer beware.
You're pretty safe getting loads from larger carriers. I've not known them to not pay their bills. -
Any bad experiences you want to share?
-
Don't have any that I want to share because there are none to share. I check credit on all new brokers that I work with and have never been stiffed for a load payment. If my factoring company won't do non-recourse factoring on them, I don't use them. It's just another way I check them out, and no, I don't factor all my invoices.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -

In my opinion most brokers are bad at times. If they know there are a ton of trucks in a particular area and freight is slow they are going to offer a low rate because somebody will haul it. CH is bad sometimes but I have also hauled some really good paying loads for them. I do have a couple that I have hauled for that I feel are fair and in turn I am fair with them whenI know trucks are short. CH and TQl play the market game so I do it to them when the ball is in my court.

When you are looking at the boards and there are 200 loads for THAT day I say TEE IT UP. Time to make some money.
Just make sure you run credit, check the mileage and don't start at your bottom rate. You feel sick when they start low and you hit them with your minimum and they jump.Man, could have got some more money.
Gears Thanks this.
