I think the driver forgot to pull the brake control valve, the dog got excited, ran into the shift column and effectively floated it into gear. I'm sorry... I just don't see a dog pushing the brake control valve in. And if it was an auto, I surely don't see them simultaneously depressing the brake pedal and putting it into drive mode.

 

My neighbour's German Sheppard used to "break in" to our house all the time. Had to keep the doors deadbolted all the time lol.

 

Dog's prolly thinking, "Crap, now I got a preventable... better called Western Express for a job..."
