What is on your record, and how recent are the infractions? I can't give you any advice if you don't elaborate. That's like shooting darts in the dark.

Should have listened to your elders when they said grow up, slow down, be responsible, obey the laws, and respect law enforcement. That's about all I can tell you. The damage is done and all you can do is wait them out, and pay the higher premiums in the mean time. Could be a long wait, depending. Otherwise, keep dropping apps ... sooner or later you may run across someone more forgiving.

One of the first things you can do to start cleaning up your record is to get a copy of your Dac Report. It is free and like a credit report you can dispute entries on the report.
The DAC report is used when you apply for a job as a truck driver. The first thing the prospective carrier will check is your DAC report. If there are any negative entries, you could have a hard time finding truck driver employment. Trucking companies often report false entries to a CDL drivers DAC report.
CDL drivers also may use this form to request a copy of your DAC report/file. HireRight will also provide you a list of all HireRight customers who may have received your background report during the last 2 years.Gardner Thanks this. -
He hasn't had a truck driving job from what I can tell so i don't know what good getting a DAC report is going to do. Typically most DL records checks go back 5 years. I'd get one and verify it is clear as you say it would be. The app wants infractions last 3 or 5 years but will ask if've you've been convicted of a felony. Were any of the DWI's filed as felonies? The DWI's in 98 & 05 are going to be your biggest problem. There are too many prospective drivers out here with "clean records".

Your correct, he should have listened to his elders.

all your violations should be far enough back they should not be that much of a problem. Speaking as a recruiter for a company i think there is more then just that on your record. if you are honest and up front about them then should not be much of an issue. but if your job history is bad such as not working for a long period, lots and lots of jobs, or maybe one or two of them are saying negative things about you then that with the other is a double whammy. also the school you attended should have been up front and told you about trouble you might have, and they should have a list of companies that come in and activily recruit from their school. if they dont then you chose a bad school. good luck

Two DWI's, Three driving on a revoked license (makes no difference if they were reduced down to a lessor charge). You have shown in the past with several VERY serious violations of the law, that you don't learn from your mistakes. Speeding is one thing , but DWI's and making the decision to drive on a revoked license ( not once but 3 times) are choices made by an individual who just doesn't care about following the law. Any company looks at this as being at the very least as Irresponsible, and very UN-professional. My advice is try another career...IMO you can't be trusted to drive a commercial vehicle...that is a trust and a privilege that you made the choice to violate not just once...but over and over again. Don't mean to be judgmental..but I have a ZERO tolerance for a Driver that not only ignores the law to start with but continues to break it after he is caught repeating the exact same BAD CHOICE more than once.

No i've never had a felony or no serious crimes..Never had a drug charge,or failed or refused a drug test..Both my DWI charges involved the same woman go figure. My last employer has gave me a good reference though..I drove a straight truck local and out of state for them for 8 years.I hope that helps me some!!I made STUPID choices that i can't take back..Only can learn an expensive lesson from them!!!
