Just put it down to inexperience if your used to driving cars in other words a shorter vehicle, you have to get used to looking at the back when turning due to the fact that your hauling a 48' - 53 ' trailer, and also keep in mind the height of the trailer which is usually around 4.1 - 4.2 metres (13.45' - 13.77') be mindful of low bridges, think most if not all of us has made a few mistakes in our driving careers the key is to learn from them and not repeat the same mistake again.
