Absolutely.. Constructive criticism is great as long as it's appropriate for the topic.. Even though we are all adults doesn't always mean that a new guy can figure the truth of a prick or someone being serious though.. you have to think from a dumb point of view and pretend you know NOTHING to understand what a new guy is thinking.. He might think the prick is the serious one and the guy giving the advice is the prick.. so to figure the two out requires research which a lot of guys don't do thus we have the BAD newbie problem. If everyone would stop bad mouthing the industry to the newbies this could be avoided. The one thing everyone needs to understand is the newbie that is asking questions is still most likely going to be a driver one way or another so by being a prick is only going to make that guy more of a danger on the road, which will make Feds increase the laws which already tough to abide which makes it harder on all of us!

Nah I was talking more about you having to have a knowledge period just to do a PTI.. I mean theres guys/gals out there that truely couldn't tell the difference between an alternator or a water pump by what they look like (just an example).. I'm not necessarily talking about being able to work on your own truck.. that a whole other issue!

Have a seasoned mechanic with 5 weeks experience supervising the noobs, so no worries....(grin)
