    Think I posted this before....
Interstate Detroit, Altoona,Ia (next to Des Moines). By far the best Detroit shop I have been to in the @13yrs of owing Detroit products.

Live with an 08-09 truck and you know this...... And it's always a combination of problems on the emissions side......

Swift dumped the the truck and didn't keep up with the emissions maintenance ........

I drive a 09 Columbia same symptoms $20,000 later, here's the laundry list wiring harness, turbo speed censor, multiple exhaust system leaks. What does the truck do with cruise on at 1350 or 1450 rpm. Does it stutter or miss like it lost the cruise. Mine still won't do a regen parked. This truck has only 300k. Martin is correct with recommendations for the Altoona shop. They have been doing quality work for decades. Sorry for the long post.

I've got an 08 Detroit S60, egr/dpf. Best advice I can give is, do not idle this motor for extended periods. You will plug up the dpf with soot. I've had very few problems with mine, the only emissions issue has been the turbo boost pressure sensor. It gets sooted up after about 100k or so and needs replacement. I also seem to get about a 100k out of the egr valve before needing to replace.

You can force a parked regen by setting the parking brake, pushing the clutch pedal in, releasing and resetting the parking brake, and pressing and releasing the clutch once more, then holding the regen switch down for five to ten seconds. This should cause it to do a parked regen.

Not according to Detroit, Freightliner, other owners, blah blah blah. Not to mention, I also tried it myself out of boredom when I first got the truck.
