I've been driving now for 7 years and I did my biggest mistake ever. I forgot my license at a truckstop. I got cigarettes and gave my license for being id and idk how I left without it. Not knowing that I left without it I drove down street seeing a weigh station open not really worried at the time pull in go into my wallet and ooopppppss!!! I got put out of service! Luckily I had cash and I begged the cashier to come down about 30 miles and gave her $150 for her driving here to me. So now I got "not driving without a license" . I showed the same guy that I got it back no Fs giving. Now I'm screwed when I look for a new job now. At the same time I'm watching bidon family breaking rules watching the news thinking man I should have gone to law and been a politician as I can do anything I want and not be in trouble
Bad time to forget my license at the truckstop

If you got "not driving without a license" I don't see what the problem could be.

Are companies rejecting your application because of that?

I was queued up last month to buy some crap. This chick in front of me was trying to buy some cigs, and it was in one of those commie states you have to show your license for to buy that excellent weed. She didn't have it. The check out girl asked me if I could show mine so the purchase could go on. Now, I am not into contributing to the delinquency of a minor. This chick had been ridden hard and put away wet for at least 40 years. So I did. Just helping out.

None of the English speaking requirements matter. I am convinced that if you don't speak English, especially if you speak a twin tower murder language, you get a free pass.

In NH this offense is considered a serious violation. It just still pisses me off that even after I got it back that he couldn't do anything about it.
I've heard a few places that would hire people with some violations here and there even serious ones depending on what it is and drivers explanation.
I feel DOT has really gotten strict over the years has it really made road safer or not? Idk? You tell me?
I think 75% of drivers out here has something. With new technology implanted everywhere to find anything on the trucks 75% of drivers having any violations threw DOT or even in your company especially with new in facing cams that can detect things like just day dreaming. The days of violation free drivers is a thing of the past.TX2Day Thanks this.
