Do not worry about DAC. Hireright is being sued more and more. Worry about things you can control.

You had an accident while backing. So. We told you how to prevent it. Don't do it again. You are going to be asked twice in any new application questions where you will have to list the wreck.

Why did you leave your last job? You answer terminated because of an accident while backing. No big deal. No one hurt. No vehicle towed. Have a lawyer get it reduced but even if he can't, it isn't a career ender.

Any accidents within the past 3 to 5 years. Yes. see above. Still no big deal.

Always answer the questions truthfully, but never answer any question they don't ask. Never volunteer anything..

And if you want to know if you are too honest, answer this, Honey does this dress make my butt look too big?

If you said, yes, you need to work on it.

Not if the employer in question isn't listed.

Agreed but that's job suicide not listing a driving job one has held.

Would it surprise you to know it's done often? Especially with drivers who have many years under their belts. I have a friend who was fired from a certain tanker company and for whatever reason it's not on his DAC report. He didn't list it when he applied with our company. Granted, it was more than 10 years ago but this guy is now our company's top earner.

So, since when does 10 years ago and top wage earner equal great character and make it ok? Sorry, but I don't think most of us would want a parsimonious, disingenuous individual marrying any of our daughters. Glad he works for you.....

Don't worry, you will be back on the road soon. Several companies will hire you; what you did is not big deal.
Maybe Western Express or Paschall Truck Lines or Pride Transport. There's others. Do the online applications; no phone calls. It's easy to say "NO" on the phone with no application in front of them.

You had a backing accident, it's really not the end of the world. Heck call Schneider Bulk, that's a good job for a rookie. I trained a guy that had two preventable backing incidents with his last company. All they asked was that I spend extra time backing with him. Point is he was hired with no problems.
