I have been having a horrible vibration in my truck. It is rpm sensitive from 12-1500. It shakes and sounds like a bad u joint. dealer says all is tight. It also only does right away in the morning for about 10-15 miles then it goes away or gets way better. You can only feel it when you have a trailer on. Any ideas? Leveling valve maybe? Truck is 07 t600 with ag380 suspension.

I kinda thinking vibration dampener on the engine. Anything driveline related shouldn't go away after a few miles. I am thinking once the engine warms up the dampener starts to work. A weak injector can do this too.

I thought about the dampers also. Engine runs smooth. I don't think its an injector. Anyway to check that damper?

The only way to check a damper is to cut it apart to see if the fluid has dried up, but then you'll need a new one anyway. I would replace your level valve and check ride height. A KW dealer can print the page with specs and pictures of where to measure. If you have not replaced the engine damper, I would put a new one on. I think Mr. Haney sells a good damper. My truck ran smoother after I replaced mine.

Will the vibration stay the same if you change gears but are going the same MPH?

^ that will help narrow it down.

Yes it will do the same thing in different gears. It feels like a tight u joint binding until it loosens up.

Sometimes U-joints don't appear to be bad until they get taken apart.

the first thing that came to my mind is flat spots on the tires from sitting that evens out after a short time but you guys are getting too technical for me so perhaps it is internal-

I don't know where to start. It still did it today, but went away quicker. It was noticable in all gears today. Its just worse in the taller gears cause you stay in the power band longer.
