Winter time in much of the nation involves snow and ice so no matter which way you go "now", there could still be snow and ice in your future. If your long haul you should start getting use to it. Still curious about your other post why you went the way you did.

 

Have run WI to CA and back with a lot of trucks for 40+ years, far more than 100 miles, closer to 200.
Shortest route(and easiest) from Bakersfield is 54-15-189-40-80-151

 

No no. When going to Chico why did you go 89 and 36 to 99, instead of 70 to 99?

Once you upgrade to Gold or Diamond, or is it Diamond or Platinum, you get truck routing in Trucker Path. I was a hard-core Trucker Path user for the last 5 years. You can use the free trial of one of the paid levels of Trucker Path to avoid paying but you need a new email address for every free-trial.

 

70 to 99? I wish we could. Part of that route is length limited. They watch, too.

New Mexico's snow strategy is when enough people end up in the ditch they'll dispatch a couple of plows... maybe.

Those States that deal with it regularly tend to have a overall better process and result.
