Check the cabin filter in the truck. Maybe it’s clogged up and just recirculating dusty air. Are ya’ll making sure to keep the truck clean also?

Clean inside of truck with chlorine wipes , replace all cabin filters get health checks for both drivers. sorry to say but most truck drivers are comfortable in filth!!!!!

The cabin filter will make a big difference, and I agree with all the advice given above by M. Grossman. Filth accumulates a lot quicker than you think!

No way a new driver should be driving the night shift. When I trained I would have the trainee drive first thing in the morning after a decent nights sleep. I would spend most of the time in the passenger seat answering questions and on long interstate sections I would sit in the sleeper. Helps new guys when someone is critiquing every single move. Once the trainee started to loose focus, I would take over and finish what I thought was a good day of driving. It takes a few weeks to build up a tolerance to sit in the drivers seat. I NEVER used a trainee as a second logbook to make more money. I just liked training guys to be good truck drivers, not steering wheel holders.
