Sorry to hear about that.I run the Ohio regional. So far it has been great for me.But I have noticed that this company has heavier freight lanes in certain parts of the country.I am making great money here. And plan to work for Barr-Nunn for awhile.

Yes, glad to hear that. I've been about here a year. The first 3 months was great. I thought that I had found a great job. The last few months have been terrible.

i will add my 2 cents here i worked for them 6 weeks and only hit about 1800 miles each week.. was asked many times to run illegal and sat in CT. three different times for 24 hrs plus.. told no freight coming back... load planner has no clue on how long it will take to get somewhere and they send you messages about idling the truck to much but will dead head you from mass. to breinigsville ,pa. to pick up a load going to jersey.. isnt that more of a waste of fuel ???? DO NOT WORK FOR THIS CO. i just started for metropolitan trucking in Bloomsburg ,Pa. and it is a really nice co. to work for... small only 300 trucks and they keep me moving... only had four days this week because of the holiday and i ran a little over 1900 miles... didnt think that was too bad for 4 days....

My hubby has been driving for 30 plus years. He worked for Barr nunn because of all the grand things he was told. He made it about 3 months. Then they took his entire last check saying he had to pay back a sign on bonus. Now we have received a bill saying he owes more. They can send all the bills they want to. This company was worse than PTL. He now works for Transport America and is satisfied with it. Most weeks he clears around 900.

Wow,Sorry to hear that! It seems to be that this company has these complaints out of there NE Regional and OTR drivers. I've been getting around 2200 to 2600 miles a week running the Ohio Regional. I didn't even leave til Tuesday this week, and still got 2200 miles. I definatley agree, alot of the runs they send have unreasonable time tables.

I am a current driver with Barr Nunn and yes so far everything that is being said is very accurate. For example I am supposedly Southeast hometime regional which means I should be home every weekend. I do not go home every weekend. In the last 5 days I have driven a Whopping 632 miles. I have never turned down a load and am very willing to take every mile they can give me. I have been with them 3 weeks and have not done better than 2100 miles. I delivered last friday morning at 8am. I sat and waited to pick my next load up at 1pm on monday. Do the math that is 53 hours or sitting. Makes for great check. Which brings me to my current situation of after picking that load up on monday and driving it 593 miles I recieved a load for 974 miles that was to be picked up in the evening on tuesday, which would deliver in the evening on thursday. I said ok I might have a chance to make something this week. Shortly there after I received another message saying that I was being pulled off that load to be put on a more urgent load with less miles. I immediately called team leader and was in turn given that load plus another load behind it which would have given me more miles than the original load both delivering in the same amount of time. Not a problem I thought until I had to leave the city at rush hour to drive 2.5 hours to go pick it up. 35 minutes into setting out on that voyage I received another message saying that the load had cancelled and I have been taken off of it and also taken off my preplanned load. So now Im sitting again. Great if you like eating at truck stop dumpsters, cause anything else at this rate I cant afford. I have a 100% ontime delivery and pickup record. I am usually way early with my loads. I have been as much as 20 hours early for delivery, but this still does not have any effect on you getting better miles. So yes heed the warnings.

Man oh man have I heard that one before. I have upped my standards and what I am willing to put up with....That answer is totally unacceptable and a deal-breaker. I get EVERYTHING in writing; from my truck model, year, job requirements, pay, NYC or not, etc. And when they break their promise, I point it out. They make it right or I walk. And when Unemployment says they won't pay, I'll show them that they breached an agreement or contract, which means I'm entitled to benefits. If these BFI companies are going to treat us like idiots, we need to step up and show them we can play the game too. Think outside the box. If we all work together, these companies might start to give us a little respect.

Better run that by your lawyer. It is against the law for any company to deduct anything from your pay without your express written permission. Check it out.
