    If the registration is in the truck owners name, the state should change the carrier responsible for safety.

    Just for future reference to those with the “carrier responsible for safety” on the registration. When you are filling out the papers there is a question box that asks if carrier will remain the same throughout the year. Just put a X in the No box and that information won’t be on the card. Still have to get the unit number and everything else setup. To just change the number is like $26. To change carrier responsible for safety is around $50. Just went through this in FL 3 weeks ago.
