Thank you, I do hope so on both issues, making decisions on what I learn and being humble enough to learn in the first place. After reading many of Gravdiggr's posts I think he and I are very much alike in terms of the amount of research we do before making decisions as well as the determination of doing the very best job that we can do, even if it means we improve upon the ways in which we were taught our first few days. Learning never ends and that is how I intend to use this forum, to gather enough information and opinion that I can form my own even without the miles under my belt. Thank you kindly for the compliment, very eager to get started. 9 days and counting.
lpgp Thanks this. -
The red part above - really hit home.. Thank you!

NO at 17.5cpm you would need 4400 miles a week to make 40K!
IMPOSSIBLE! -
I'll keep this in mind when I call my former students to tell them I've done them all wrong in training them and they should have asked for Phil.
BTW, never even heard of him and I've been training since November 2008, with PAM since September 2007. Guess, I'll have to ask around. -
Sorry guy, don't know you. Phil has been with PAM 7 years, training 5. Before that he owned a HVAC company for 27 years and went to college for accounting. Just trying to say he is very organized. Made up an entire training manual on his own time detailing everything we needed to know in a logical manner. He has trip sheets which many people may think are a waste of time but I fill em out and can look back at a glance and find info on any load I hauled knowing everything from the load number to when I arrived at the shippers gate. He also includes a list of all deductible expenses and forms where you can keep track of everything from laundry expenses to eye drops.
I'm sure you are a good trainer. I enjoy your posts and they are very helpful. I'm just going by what I know. Don't take it personally.djtrype Thanks this. -
Last time I checked you can't drive 365 days a year, or average 63mph for 10 hrs x 365 dys.
