I can start with crst, but there is basic information I can't find anywhere.

I know they have the 20 10 or the 1 day off per week worked, but I don't know if that is the only time you get home to sleep in your own bed, if I join them, my plan is to get rid of everything I own take a couple days off a month and stay in a hotel, but if there is actual time at my home port I have to rethink that.

Also is there room for two people to actually sleep in the truck? What are the living conditions like?

Finally for now, are you actually driving 24 hours, 12 and 12, or do you get to actually pull over and get to sleep while the truck is not moving

    Thank you

For the most part you will only be sleeping when the truck is moving. Exceptions would be loading/unloading times and 30 minute breaks.

You only sleep on the bottom bunk when the truck is in motion. Trucks get small when solo and even smaller with another person so make sure you get along with your codriver. Also remember there is a person sleeping when you're driving so easy on the shifting and braking.

I think he knew that already.

Sent from somewhere out on the road.

I am in san Francisco, but if I take a trucking job, I will throw away everything I own and move to San Diego. I am talking with crst because they will pay for all the training

Crst is not the only company that will pay for your training.
You have a couple of choices. Stevens transport, Millis, Tmc, Central refrigerated, Swift if you are 23 or older, Jbs will pay for you to go to roadmaster but its about a 1000 in fees to paid back to roadmaster plus the 4995 u will owe them by paying back 96 a week and like 40 something a month back to roadmaster. Do the math 96x4+40= a car note or house note pretty steep. The others want like 20 something a week to pay back for training, and some don't want anything back as long as you stay for a year. Do some research on somemore companies before you choose Crst. Some only hire out of certain areas but you could ask the recruiter or it may be on the website. I chose Central personally, got accepted trying to pick right date to leave.
