Basically blacklisted I guess what can I do?

I ran for Us Xpress for a year in that year had nothing happen no accidents or tickets. I got a call a few months back saying they saw me touch my phone through the reflection on the windshield in the dash cam. That’s all they said so I figured it was just a warning. Well come home for home time and am told I have to meet with the terminal manager who says they saw me speeding going downhill on the dash cam and because I was already on probation I’m fired. What!! Well I tried appealing it and they said no change will be made. I’ve applied to multiple other companies and one guy said Us Xpress put “violation of safety rules” down in my verification so now every company I talk to says they can’t hire me until I have 3-6 months of safe driving. How do I get anytime safe driving if nobody will hire me? I have no tickets no accidents. There’s nothing on my DAC report either. My wife is having a baby in the next month and Xpress just pulled the rug out from under me. I also had one coming days there’s a DOT policy that because it’s safety I have to be retrained and pay them to train me. Is this true? Otherwise is there anything I can do to be able to get another job?

 

My DAC report is clean. I think it’s coming up on my employment verification from Xpress.

 

I’ve told everyone I’ve talked to that and they said because it’s safety related they can’t hire me.

 

Yeah western express is the one that said I have to pay 2500 to retrain.
